After a year of designing, sampling fabrics, fit trials upon fit trials, finding the perfect Pantones, drawing up logos, meetings and more meetings, and every other little detail that goes into creating a clothing brand, I am SO excited [ecstatic, really] to introduce to you WE by Living in Yellow.

We wanted to create a line that was designed by women, for Women Everywhere [spoiler alert: that’s what WE stands for ????] At Living in Yellow, our mission is to make your life a little bit easier, a heck of a lot happier and help you feel even more confident in you who are by feeling good in what you’re wearing. We believe that WE does just that. With WE by LIY, we want to meet you exactly where you’re at. Whether we’re helping you get dressed for work, feel fancy for next weekend’s date night, or keeping it casual at your kiddo’s soccer game, we’re here to help you walk you through your week in comfort and confidence.

The must-have jacket of the collection – I don’t mean to play favorites with our pieces, but this one wins. Between the buttery smooth fabric, how it drapes and flows perfectly, and the snap button detail, she’s a dream. Available in two colors [believe me, once you buy one you’ll want to go back for the other], this jacket is such a great seasonal transition piece as the weight is great for spring to summer and summer to fall. A few tops that you may want to consider layering underneath it from our brand: our classic tank, ruffle trim v-neck tank, or our lace trim tee!

Denim Jacket with REPREVE Fabric – fit tip: size down one

We couldn’t create our first collection for our brand without a classic staple that every closet should have. This denim jacket checks off all of the boxes when it comes to a layering jacket that you will truly wear year-round. It’s not the stiff denim you often think of when you think about a denim jacket, but instead is super stretchy is also a great length that hits right at or below the waist. Have I mentioned yet that it’s made out of recycled water bottles? You read that right. Each of our denim jackets is a blend of cotton, sustainable polyester, and spandex. Available in both a medium denim wash and white, I love both colors for spring and summer. Also, if you don’t own a white denim jacket, the time is now – believe me when I say you may find yourself wearing it more often than your classic wash!

Textured Knit Dolman Sleeve Cardigan – fit tip: size down if in between

How fun is this knit cardigan?! Wait until you feel how breezy and light it is, making it your new go-to spring and summer cardigan. It can be thrown on over anything [from dressing it down with a tank and joggers to dressed up with a lace tee for the office and overtop a dress for a day date out] and is oh so comfortable. We added this ruched cuff detail on the sleeves to give it a little extra eye-catching element. Available in 3 colors, you can’t go wrong with any of them. I will be living in this all spring and summer long!

Tops

Bow Back Top – fit tip: true to size

Just wait until you feel the fabric and stretch on this buttery smooth top. The back is where all of the fun is thanks to this bow feature we added in. You can tie it as tight or as loose as you’d like and yes, I can pair it with my regular bra without any problems [3 cheers for that!] Available in 2 stripe options and 1 solid [you can never go wrong with yellow ;)] this has spring written all over it.

Ruffle-Trim Tank – fit tip: true to size

Similar to the fabric above in the bow back sweater, this is equally as smooth, soft, and stretchy. We wanted to create an easy tank that you can wear alone or for layering, but wanted it to feel special enough when it’s on its own. Just enough detail on the sleeves to add interest to the eye. The back also has a v which adds visual interest from that angle as well. Consider it your perfect summer tank, I know I am.

The sweetest sweater in the group, she’s cute as a button [pun intended] with this adorable button-back detail. From the front, you get a simple easy to wear short sleeve sweater and from the back, you get all of the fun! Click here to see how cute the back is on the white and blue. Speaking of the blue, I am dying over this color. I’ll take one in everything in this shade, please!

Stripe Button-Down Shirt – fit tip: true to size

You can never go wrong with a classic stripe button-up shirt and this one is no exception. We created it in this great linen-blend fabric that is nice and lightweight and has me dreaming of summer days as soon as I put it on. Whether you wear it open with a tank underneath, buttoned up, tucked in, left out, twisted up in a cute little tie, wrapped around your waist, the world is truly your oyster in this! Mint, sage, and yellow available!

Tee with Lace Trim – fit tip: true to size

We all know a v-neck tee is great and all, but we wanted something that felt just a little bit special. Insert our lace v-neck tee. The lace detail dresses it up without even trying and the slub material keeps it comfortable while doing so. Not sheer and a little on the longer side, I love this under all of our jackets and cardigans and know I will be rocking it with shorts all summer long.

Shaker Knit Sweater – fit tip: size down if in between

You haven’t felt soft until you’ve felt this sweater. I want to hug myself every time I put it on, it’s that good. This sweater is a loose-knit fabric that is breathable and can be worn in spring, summer, or fall! I love the asymmetrical stitching detail that we added to this on the sides which creates a flattering silhouette and the hi-low hem detail gives it an additional shape that hugs in all of the right places. This piece is super versatile and classic!

3/4 Sleeve Hooded Sweatshirt – fit tip: size down if in between

A modern and fresh take on a traditional sweatshirt, meet our 3/4 hooded sweatshirt. As you may see, the sleeves are wide and have a stitched sleeve detail that emulates a raw hem without the worry of it unraveling. A super comfy french terry inside and a smooth sweatshirt on the outside, you’ll feel elevated in our 3/4 sleeve sweatshirt regardless if you pair it with our joggers or jeggings!

Bottoms

The Perfect Jegging – fit tip: size up if in between

It wouldn’t be a complete collection without the perfect jegging — insert the comfiest, stretchiest [squat approved] denim made out of REPREVE fabric which means you’re doing something good for the environment when purchasing our jeans. Each pair is made out of stretch cotton and recycled performance polyester made from recycled plastic bottles. Yes, our denim has shredded recycled water bottles in it and yes, they feel better than you can imagine. We may love yellow around here but we’re loving going green as well 😉 These have a HIGH rise and I am here for it [the higher the better in my book] and hit at the ankle thanks to their 28″ inseam. Three washes available – dark, medium, and white [you can find the white wash here!]!

The pant of 2020 that isn’t going anywhere soon — the jogger. We’re all about livin’ that cozy life and we wanted to keep the trend in full swing. Our jogger is comfortable yet chic enough to wear running errands, to your kid’s baseball game, and of course, on the couch on a lazy Sunday at home. We added a great monochromatic stripe down the side to give it a little something extra. High-waisted, drawstring waist, and quite flattering on the booty if I don’t say so myself. ps. When did we ever think we’d be talking about joggers that make your butt look good? 2020, you did a lot of things to us we never saw coming…

Dresses

Midi Tank Dress – fit tip: size down if in between

The dress you’ll never want to take off. Midi dresses have really taken off in the past year or so and for good reason – they are long enough to wear anywhere, still show a little bit of leg, and when they are as comfortable as this, lead you to believe you never *actually* changed out of your pajamas from last night. This dress has a flattering waistband that isn’t constricting AND pockets on both sides that add zero volume at the hips. A unicorn of dresses, the only hard part of wearing this is deciding which color to go with.

Stripe Dress with Contrast Trim – fit tip: true to size

My oh my. The first time I put this on I immediately had visions of climbing into the boat and heading to dinner on a hot summer night. That’s the kind of transformative power this dress holds. Between our three color options [how fun is this contrasting neck detail] you can’t go wrong and just like so many pieces in our collection, this baby is super stretchy, buttery soft and will make you feel like you can run the world. Or at least your next board meeting 😉
