If there is one good thing that came out of quarantine it has to be yoga. My girlfriend first introduced me to the practice and thanks to weekly virtual classes and YouTube videos, my tight and tense body was able to stretch and move in ways it never experienced the first 30 years of life. Whoever knew that chaturanga is a workout pose, not a form of a burrito or enchilada? Well, friends, I didn’t pre-yoga days. I always had this impression that yoga was easy and for those who prefer to not work up a sweat. I’ve been wrong about many things in my life, this being one. I never knew my muscles could shake the way they shake from holding a tree pose [I’m still more of a weed waiting to sprout but I’m sure my true tree day will come ;)] and the calming vibes it brings to my mind is better than the ginger snap tea I’m currently drinking. Long story short, yoga provides a wealth of benefits, strong lean muscles, and an anxiety-free mind being my top two favorites.
