Meow. Because sometimes a simple top or leopard print pair of earrings aren’t enough of a statement, I decided to go full throttle with this trench coat covered in animal print. This may be a little “too much” for some, but in my eyes, it’s perfect. The only thing wrong with it is the size for me – I would love it one size down, but aside from that I love the shape, the cut, the warmth, the print, everything.

Oh my, oh my. I never have gravitated towards cashmere as the word alone seems too adult for me, but now that I’ve wrapped myself up in it, I get why it’s a thing. This ruana [I literally have no idea what that word means and I feel like such a fraud saying it, but go with it] is the perfect fall and winter piece. I love that I can pair it with short sleeves for now and long sleeves later when the temps drop. It is a little bit of a splurge, so if you want the same look without the cashmere price, I totally recommend this one!

Gone are the days of a real need for pencil skirts for me, however, I still appreciate a good one. This skirt from Vince Camuto is so on trend for fall and the fit / comfort level is 100%. Last but not least on my list of hits [you can see a hundred more of mine here] are these little beauties. I am pretty minimalistic when it comes to jewelry and these stud earrings are just that. Minimal, not too much of a statement, but eye catching and go with everything.

What do you get when you take a biscuit can about ready to pop and combine it with the look of a little newborn girl’s sock? You’re looking at it. This top was all wrong on me. I sized up to a small and it was still about two sizes too tight. In case you’ve ever wondered if I have love handles, proof is there’s a lot to grab on there folks. I’m not a big fan of the lettuce hem detail as it takes me back to middle school or some time in my life that I don’t especially want to replicate. Needless to say, back it went faster than I could pry it off of me.

I wasn’t sure if I wanted to get on the snakeskin bandwagon at first, but I after trying these bad boys on, I am so glad I did! If you were wanting the Steve Madden ones, this is a great alternative! I like that they are black/grey tones because I rock those more than I do tans/browns. Definitely a fun shoe to add to the fall collection!
HIT: Halogen Felt Panama Hat
Wine tasting, apple picking, and pumpkin spice lattes on a rainy fall day! This hat speaks all things FALL! I love the unexpected color combo of the ribbon, and honestly burgundy is such an autumn wardrobe staple that you can probably pop this thing on with just about any poncho, jacket, sweater and beyond! I wore a similar burgundy hat on my interview with Erin back in 2017 when I was applying to work at LIY — and my husband still jokes that it was the hat that got me the job! Moral of the story, buy the hat — it might just get you your dream job!

TTS, wearing in 2 Petite. Yep! I am into these jeans! From high rise to the raw hem detail, these are a great pick! The cropped length is great for pairing with booties without having to roll — such a MUST for fall denim in my opinion!

TTS, wearing in 2. I tried on many a plaid blazer when we were at Nordstrom, and this one was definitely at the top of the list! I love the notched lapel and the pop of burgundy and pale blue! One of the best things about this jacket is the quality — very well made! In the end I didn’t opt for this one since I don’t normally wear a lot of navy, but honestly I really do love this blazer!

These are now available in a pretty shade of mustard yellow that is perfect for fall!

TTS, wearing in XS. On the hanger, I thought I would love this top, but as soon as I put it on I was getting all the Jerry Seinfeld Puffy Shirt vibes! It did have some cute details like a button sleeve that I liked — maybe it was made for someone with longer arms than I have, but it was a NO for me!

Size Down, wearing in XS. Just call me Jonah because this whale of a sweater swallowed me whole! Honestly, it looked GREAT on some of the other gals on the team — other TALLER gals! I looked like a sack of potatoes, and then tried to save it by adding a cute belt — but even that did not work! If you are petite, I think you will want to pass on this one!
BUT…the one win of this outfit was definitely the booties [TTS, wearing in 5]! They were super cute and trendy, and the snakeskin was super neutral in this brown color! The heel is not too high, so they are COMFY and I was definitely into them! In the end, I decided to opt for a snakeskin loafer instead, but I really did like these little booties!
MISS: Kut from the Kloth Diana Skinny Jeans
TTS, wearing in 2 Petite. I was on the fence about whether these jeans were a hit or a miss. The overall fit was pretty good, they have a nice stretch to them, but I didn’t love how the ankle was a little too loose! As a tried and true American Eagle Jeggings Lover, I am used to the ankle of my skinnies being just that — skinny. Other than that, they were a pretty good option for denim.

I am SO SO bummed these are in my miss column – I blame my short legs! When I put these on, I was so excited about how stretchy and soft they were, and I love the really high rise. Do I have a belly button? You’ll never know because these bad boys covered it! Unfortunately as I tried them on with a couple of different pairs of shoes I realized even the petite were just a tad longer than I would like them to be so I’m going to return them. Sad sad day.

I love the anniversary sale for stocking up on cardigans and shoes, and this year was no different! This is my FAVORITE cardigan from this year’s sale – it’s so soft and I love the longer length.

I. Love. These. Boots. That is all. Okay, that’s not all, but holy cow, I love them! Erin has worn and loved her Born boots for a few years now, and so I wanted to give them a try and I’m blown away. These are absolutely going to be worn on repeat this fall and winter.. They’re comfortable, the perfect height, not too tight around the calves, and I think they make your legs look longer! A huge, huge win with these boots!
Both the shirt and jeans are hits too! This is my first pair of Kut from the Kloth jeans, and I’m so impressed by the quality for the price! I’d expect them to cost quite a bit more! The shirt is a great piece for fall to wear alone or for layering, but definitely size up. I’m wearing this in my true medium, and it’s quite form fitting – I’l be exchanging for a large for a bit more wiggle room!

I was so torn on this sweater in the store. So much so that I bought it and brought it home with me knowing I might end up returning it. Well, I’m returning it. I love the main body of it, but the arms are what throw me off. The sweater has buttons up both sleeves which makes the arms extra bulky and constantly needing adjustment.
MISS: Fleece Lined Quilted Utility Jacket
I had high hopes for this jacket, but it just made me feel so bulky, and not in a good way [good would be major winter coat warmth type of bulky]. For a fall jacket, I want something that adds a layer and warmth, not something that looks like I added 5 layers. While it’s warm, it wasn’t a win for me!
