Disclosure: Thank you to Walmart and ShopStyle for sponsoring today’s post.
‘Tis the season for Saturdays on the sidelines — whether it’s baseball, basketball, soccer, hockey or your kids’ mallet club, there’s bound to be a reason to be bleacher bound this spring. I grew up at the little league fields and put in my fair share of Big League Chew and Walking Tacos [speaking of…I need to find a child to cheer on stat, those walking tacos are legit]. If you are finding yourself constantly on the go from game to game and are wondering what closet essentials are good to have on hand that will leave you feeling comfortable, confident and cheer-ready, we’ve rounded up some favorites today that will have you shouting “PLAY BALL” faster than your kid can run from first base to second.
All of the pieces below are from Walmart, the home of ALL of the things, cute fashion included. I am loving their new We Dress for America campaign which is focused on dressing who you are, where you’re at. They have so many great finds all at an even greater price. We are so excited to be partnering with them for the next two months to bring you our favorite finds that we believe you’ll love as well. From fashion to home decor [obsessed with this collection], items for travel or upcoming events, we’ll have you covered. Additionally, Walmart offers FREE 2-day shipping on a ton of items + free returns with no membership fee, something I think we can all get down with.
Now, moving forward to the Sideline Saturday’s looks. Whether you’re living somewhere that’s already warm or if you’re stuck in a frozen tundra [hi, I’m here too!] we’ve got an outfit for you! We built all looks on great basics that you can mix and match for every weekend. The only thing you’ll be left to worry about before heading out the door is if your kiddo wants the blue or purple Gatorade.
Outfit 1: Basic Tee + Comfy Shorts
Women’s 3/4 Sleeve Classic Boatneck Top [size up if in between, wearing in small]// Women’s High Rise A Line Short with Slit [size up if in between, wearing in 4 [normally 2] // Time and Tru Women’s Court Shoe [true to size]
These shorts are quickly becoming a spring and summer favorite – at under $20, you can’t beat them! I love that they are a 3.5 inseam which means I can move around comfortably without worrying that too much is showing. If you prefer a longer length, I also bought these 4.5 inch inseam shorts and love them! Now, we know that tennis shoes can get dirty pretty quick at the ball park, which is why I believe in not spending a fortune on what you’re putting on your feet for game day. These cute tennis shoes are under $13 [I KNOW] and are quite comfortable!
Outfit 2: Tunic + Slip Ons
Women’s Long Dolman Sleeve Knit Tunic Top [true to size, wearing in small[// Jordache Women’s Essential High Rise Super Skinny Ankle Jean [size up if in between, wearing in 4 [normally 2] // Women’s Time And Tru Twin Gore [true to size]
I currently can’t get over the camo trend [it’s been thriving for a few years now and I have no plans of disguising my love for it anytime soon..]. When I spotted these slip-ons I knew I wanted to give them a try. For under $17, they may just be ranking at the top of my best purchases under $20. Whether you’re rocking them with jeans or shorts, I promise you comfort which is key. These tunics are lightweight which make them a top contender for spring. If it’s still chilly, simply add a vest and you are good as gold.
Outfit 3: Leggings + Rain Boots
Women’s Long Dolman Sleeve Knit Tunic Top [true to size, wearing in small] // Women’s Active Full Length Pocket Legging [true to size, wearing in small] // Time and Tru Women’s Wide Calf Rain Boot [true to size]
We all know that there are two things we can’t predict: the outcome of the game and the weather. If you find yourself waking up to a soggy mess on a Saturday morning, rain boots it is. If you’re team leggings [raises both hands] this pair is awesome thanks to the pockets [you gotta be able to store your phone somewhere]. The same tunic I paired with jeans above also works perfectly with leggings making it all sorts of versatile this sports season!
And just like that, we’ve got you about a months worth of sideline looks. Be sure to checkout Walmart for all other game day necessities while you’re there! The only thing they can’t sell – victory, but they can sure put you on your way……
For your Pinning pleasure…
