Self-care, self love, self gifting.
We all know that the holidays include a lot of gift buying for sisters, in-laws, neighbors, the kids’ teacher’s ex-husband [okay, maybe I’m stretching it a bit there]. But seriously, we buy for everyone and their brother, spending so much time making sure we have the perfect gift for each person. We try so hard to make each gift unique, making sure each person feels the love that we’ve saved up all year for this one special day.
But we spend so much time focusing on others, sometimes we put looking out for ourselves at the bottom of the list. We buy for ourselves the rest of the year, so why should this time of the year be any different? Especially since some of the best sales tend to happen this time of year! So when my internal self said “Erin, you should treat yo’self,” I said “Okay, self, treat away!” and knew exactly where my little typing fingers were heading. Straight to one of my favorite families that’s always welcoming. The family [of brands] that includes Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic, and Athleta. I’ve loved these stores since I was in high school, and let me tell ya- I still love them just as much, if not even more.
So when it came time to treat myself this season, these stores were on my short list, and when I remembered that I can shop all their stores and check out ONCE, it was decided. Let me give you the briefing on what I tend to shop for from each store [although you’ll have to check them out yourselves because there is WAY too much goodness to include here]…
Old Navy is my go-to for a classic pair of jeans [ideally, pull-on] and a graphic tee. Gap is perfect for sweaters, pajamas, stocking stuffers and more [I could go on and on]. Banana Republic uses the most amazing textiles in their layering pieces to make me feel all sorts of luxe. Athleta allows me to dress as though I spent two hours at the gym before running to Dunkin’ Donuts, when in reality, I just went straight to Dunkin’. To summarize, this family of brands has everything you could possibly need to treat yo’self [except maybe a facial and a massage. I’ll be putting that in the suggestion box]. While I wait for them to add the spa treatments to their online presence, take a look at what I’m treating myself this holiday season!

Textured V-Neck Tunic Sweater [wearing size XS] // Elation Uplifted 7/8 Tight [wearing size XS] // Large Tote // Sueded Block-Heel Booties [wearing size 8]
Leggings, a tunic, and booties are three items that are perfect to gift yourself because they’re items you can never have enough of! When you’re like me and wear leggings multiple times a week, you need a few pairs. Plus this tunic comes in multiple colors and patterns so it makes the outfit look completely different each time! And I LOVE this tote, because on the outside it looks like a conservative simple black bag, but when you get close and open it up, you notice it has a fun leopard print liner!
Long Soft-Brushed Coat [wearing size XS] // Cotton-Wool Blend Button-Side Sweater [wearing size XS] // Cozy Pattern Fringe Scarf // Large Tote // earrings
The colder the weather, the more layers we need! I added this long coat and fringe scarf over this AMAZING wool blend sweater. Scarves are such an easy way to add not only warm layers, but also a fun way to incorporate some different colors and patterns into your outfit. Then when you get inside, you can choose to leave the scarf or take it off- depending on what the indoor temp is [looking at you freezing office environments].
Cotton-Wool Blend Button-Side Sweater [wearing size XS] / Similar Sweaters Italian Merino-Blend Tunic Sweater / Plush Wool Blend Crew-Neck Sweater // Mid-Rise Built-In Warm Rockstar Super Skinny Step-Hem Jeans [wearing size 2 regular] // Cozy Pattern Fringe Scarf // earrings // Sueded Block-Heel Booties [wearing size 8]
Finally, I’d like to introduce you to something called “fleece lined jeans“… Yes. You read that right. Fleece lined jeans, that look like high-end designer jeans, I might add. I’ve been a huge fan of the pull-on jeggings from Old Navy for a long time, and as soon as I put these babies on I knew I was going to live in these this winter. On the inside they feel like warm sweatpants, but on the outside they look like a pair of nice jeans! I LOVE the hem on these, and where they hit at the ankles make them a perfect length to pair with booties! Throw on a sweater that feels like butter, pop that scarf from earlier back on top, and you’ll be warm all winter long!
Tis’ the season to not only shop for others, but also for ourselves, so take advantage of these deals to treat yo’self before the deals are gone!
