Work wear that wins from summer to fall
It’s hard to believe that we are slowly starting to phase out of summer and our minds are headed towards all things Pumpkin Spice Lattes, Saturday and Sunday football games, crisper mornings and more layers in our wardrobe. I always think that transitional months are the hardest for dressing as it’s a constant battle between being too warm vs too cold, wearing vibrant summer colors vs muted fall tones, etc. Add work into the mix and the battle of not knowing what to wear becomes even more difficult [why is that dressing for work is always the most challenging?!] Today, I’m here to dispel the myth that work wear has to be hard, especially when changing seasons.

When I saw this dress, I knew it was the perfect summer to fall dress for the workplace. For starters, it’s short sleeves which keeps it warm weather friendly, yet the colors lend themselves perfectly to the upcoming fall months. If chilly, add a coordinating cardigan or jacket and you have yourself a cooler weather option. The lace shoulder detail and work appropriate length are the perfect finishing touches on this piece! Another huge trend for fall – animal print [I’m not one bit mad about it]. This short sleeve sweater is still summer appropriate but ready for fall to take cover with this twill moto jacket which screams sophistication and fun. You must hold this jacket to know how good it is. Paired with a classic pair of black ankle dress pants and the same great suede heels and you’re ready to go [and turn heads in the process]. Meow.

I went with these oh so perfect bootcut jeans that fit just right and allowed for these suede pumps with the tortoiseshell heel [I die]. Speaking of tortoiseshell, can we talk about these earrings for a minute? Good, right? Monday – Friday, you will find these beauties in my ears. To top off this look, turn to this classic ruffle neck button down blouse in olive which combines business with play.
