Oh, New Year’s Eve, the one holiday that is always difficult for me to get into. I think it’s all the hype and the expectation that you must be doing something insanely awesome or your upcoming year is destined to be horrible. Maybe that’s just me? I wish they could have planned the date of New Year’s Eve a little better – who has time to think about cool plans when they are rushing around trying to get all of the Christmas gifts wrapped and under the tree? It’s always the one holiday that sneaks up on me faster than how quickly I can finish a bowl of mac and cheese. No matter how awesome I envision my NYE plans to be, they typically end up in a friends home playing games and struggling to keep my eyes awake to see the ball drop. I would venture to guess that many of our evenings look the same. Sure, it’s fun to get all glitzy and glammed up with a sparkly dress and heels for an event [if you have one] but if you don’t, casual yet festive wear is typically in store. This year I thought I would share several different looks that you can feel comfortable in, yet still have a hint of sparkle and will take you through any dinner out or night in! To do my shopping I ventured off to Kohl’s [mostly because right now you can earn Kohl’s cash, $10 for every $50 spent, to be redeemed at a later date which is always the best surprise when you open your wallet and discover you have it!] and also because you can’t beat their prices, they always have so many sale items and with all of their gift ideas it is literally the best one-stop shop for virtually anything and everything. Alright, let’s jump into these NYE outfits that won’t kill your feet and allow you to eat one extra jalapeno popper.
First up is this asymmetrical ombre sweater with everybody’s favorite, pull-on jeggings [a MUST for parties where appetizers and champagne are flowing]. I love that this sweater has a little hint of sparkle and that the cut adds an element of fun. Pair with a simple pair of black booties and your outfit is complete!

Now, maybe you prefer even a little more sparkle [it’s New Year’s Eve, go crazy], I’m kinda in love with these sequin sweaters in the $20 range [whaaaaat]. I went for an all-black look but there are several colors available if you prefer something a little different! The added layer at the hemline also makes this sweater a perfect option to wear with leggings. I stepped up my shoe game for this outfit with these cutout open-toe booties which just scream a good time if you ask me.

Last but not least, get even more comfortable with a cozy fleece embellished top and those same pull-on jeggings! I found so many options here [this one being my favorite] that fall into this category! Settle yourself into that cozy couch, pour an extra glass of bubbly and make yourself comfortable, 2018 is about to be a good year.
You are now officially ready to party-ish.
Be sure to check out Kohl’s for all sorts of other great holiday looks and gifts!
