Stepping Up My Jewelry Game With Rocksbox

Every once in awhile you will come across a service that rocks your socks off [note: that was a clever Rocksbox pun, right out of the gates] and well, Rocksbox is one of those. When I read up on what this jewelry service is all about I knew that I wanted to try it. I’ll admit – I am a jewelry idiot. I like to formally refer to myself as “basic” however, it really comes down to the fact that I never know what jewelry to wear with what outfit. Therefore, I feel like my jewelry collection is always lacking because when I go shopping, I never gravitate towards jewels, yet every time I go to get dressed or have a special event I think, “dang, I wish I had some jewelry to wear with this.” Insert Rocksbox

What is it you ask? It’s a service where you can create a custom profile based all around your jewelry needs or desires. Fill out what metals you lean towards, if you prefer statement pieces, delicates, tassel style or drusy and the list goes on. A personal stylist will then put together a jewelry box with three pieces to mail your way [note: always free shipping and free returns!] for you to try! You can then try out the jewelry and decide if you like it and want to buy it or you can always send it back. Every month you’ll receive a new box with the same “try before you buy” availability. It is the perfect [and easiest] way to refresh your jewelry collection!

After I filled out my profile I couldn’t wait to see what my stylist would send my way. I was looking for pieces to wear to an upcoming wedding that could also translate over to everyday life and I have to say, my stylist nailed it. For this first box, I requested gold metals in a more delicate style. Curious to see what I received? Let’s take a peek! Inside were three of the most beautiful pieces of jewelry I’ve ever owned along with a sweet little note from my stylist with ideas on how to style each piece. In my Rocksbox was an Ava Rose Cheyenne bracelet in rose gold with rose druzy, Kendra Scott Bexley earrings in rose gold and ivory mother of pearl and a Kendra Scott Meghan adjustable necklace in gold dusted glass. One awesome feature of both the necklace and bracelet was that the closure is adjustable meaning my necklace could be worn at any length [long or short! it’s up to me!] and I could ensure the bracelet wouldn’t slide around on my wrist which is always a pet peeve of mine. The earrings were surprisingly not heavy and all pieces made me feel super glam and wedding ready.  photos shot by tina herschberger photography

This is a service that I fully support and can’t wait to try again! Interested in giving it a try yourself? Good news! Use code LIVINGINYELLOWXOXO and receive your first month of Rocksbox membership FREE! This is for new members only! I’d love to hear your feedback once you try it out on what you think! Who’s ready for a little jewelry refresh? We all know you’re a gem already, why not shine even more? 😉
