The story goes like this – my two recent fixes have shown up at my doorstep within a day of me leaving for vacation. Me, being the highly organized person I am [not], left on vacation, let my box sit, waited an absurd amount of weeks to look through everything, failed to document any photos annnnnd chose which items to keep in the most hastily of styles. Allow this to be a lesson to you people – actually a few lessons. For starters, maybe don’t wait a month to checkout for your fix. You will continue to get kind email reminders that you must checkout and every time you get one you will be reminded of how much you don’t have things together. Secondly, never, and I repeat never decide which item(s) you are keeping while in a hurry. You will wind up in the situation I am in currently thinking “wait. why didn’t I keep that?!?”
First world problems people. While I like the items I chose, after looking back I could have done a little better but you know what they say, better luck next time. Without further ado, I present you my long and overdue Stitch Fix reveal.
Real quick before we begin here are a few words about Stitch Fix and how it all works if you haven’t read this the 54 other times I’ve wrote about it 😉
1. Lusso Cashmere Betsee Color Block Pullover – $148 – Small – Kept
So here’s where my biggest mistake may have been made. While yes, it’s cashmere, it’s still $148. In my mad dash of checking out I selected keep and kept going. Granted, I love the sweater, but that price is a little salty for my budget. However, it has zippers so we’ll consider it a win still. So here we have it, the cashmere sweater that I will never dry clean and probably ruin soon. But at least for two weeks of my life I will have owned a legit nice cashmere sweater.
2. RD Style Aja Knit Dress – $78 – Small – Returned
When I originally put this dress on I was sure that I had my head through a wrong hole or something. However, it turns out this is the correct way of wearing it and now that I see it, I kinda love it. The only downside to this dress was the 15 extra pounds I’ve put on which made for some pretty heavy duty sucking in. One can only hold their breath for so long, meaning it was either my life or this dress. I chose my life, mostly just so I could share this fix with you. You’re welcome.
3. Steven Cecilya Peep Toe Bootie – $129 – Returned
Oh how I kicking myself in the shins right now for not keeping these. If you could only see the bruises I have…goodness, these things are beauties. The dark purple color is perfection and the gold zipper detail, don’t get me started. Why I thought for some reason I didn’t need a new pair of shoes is beyond me. I DON’T HAVE PURPLE SHOES! And for now, I will continue to not have purple shoes. Off to go cry again, brb.
4. Skies Are Blue Sorel Cutout Detail Blouse – Small – $54 – Returned
The real reason I didn’t keep this fun top? It essentially requires a strapless bra due to the cutout detail. Now, if it was summer I probably wouldn’t have thought too much about this as I am used to wearing strapless bras then [this one is my favorite, FYI] however, being that it’s the dead of winter and I haven’t put one of those on in several months I thought oh haiiiiiiiiiiiiil no. Fun top though, that’s a fact jack.
5. Tart Capella Collarless Textured Faux Leather Trim Blazer – Small – $98 – Kept
