Well kids, it’s December. Around here that means one thing – freaking cold weather. And Christmas, it also means that. Combine those two things [freaking cold and Christmas] and you’ve got yourself a recipe for the warmest, coziest gifts on the planet. While I would like to say that I have all my shopping done, I kinda just started. As in last night. Do I still have a long ways to go? Do I pee my pants every time I sneeze? The answer is yes to both. While I understand that we need to be focused on what we can buy for others, we also need to focus on the more important item at hand – what we want others to buy for us 😉 Thanks to my recent obsession with Sole Society [totally one of my girlfriends fault for texting me the other week while I was patiently waiting in the drive thru line at Dunkin’ Donuts exclaiming her love for this website and blah blah blah, I was sold] I’ve gathered a few winter must-haves that you can kindly ask your mom, sister, husband, boss, anybody and everybody to buy them for you. You’re welcome.
Psssst – before we get started with my top 5 picks, there is an entire section for gift giving broken up into several different categories [under $100, for the girl on the go, warm wishes, etc] which is like a unicorn making you macaroni and cheese [that means really, really, really good]. Not just that but you will receive free shipping on any orders over $50 so yeah, back to the unicorn thing.
1. Festive Footwear – because why shouldn’t your feet be full of Christmas cheer?
When I found these plaid pumps I knew I needed them in my wardrobe, partially for upcoming holiday parties, but mostly just for the smile factor. It’s hard to not be happy when you’re walking around looking like one of Santa’s elves [the fashionable kind]. So cute and comfortable [you can size down 1/2 size if in between], these are a must-have fo’ sho’.
I had been on the hunt for the perfect beanie and when my eyes found this one [which is now 30% off!] I knew it was just what I was wanting. I love the waffle knit pattern and the cute little bunny tail looking pom coming off the back. Anything that’s functional yet adorable is an item for me.
3. An Oxblood Purse [also known as maroon, burgundy, and anything else w/o the word blood]
While the name of the color is somewhat disturbing, the color itself is anything but. I am obsessed with all things oxblood during the winter months and this purse is no exception. Less than $65, this purse is big enough to hold all of my precious belongings and sturdy enough to keep it’s gorgeous shape. If oxblood isn’t your thing, it’s also available in taupe!
Gosh, I love this scarf. Currently 30% off, this baby keeps you warm without suffocating you. That whole staying alive thing is always a plus. The navy, white and red make me all sorts of proud to be american and also proud to own matching booties.
I love this not only because it comes with 3 adorable necessities [ribbed wool headband, knit wrap and wool gloves] but because it comes gift wrapped for you in a pretty little box and tissue paper meaning you have to do literally nothing but click the “add to bag” button here. At this sale price, you absolutely can’t beat it for any woman on your list.
There we have it, my top five picks! What are you loving this season?
disclosure: thank you so much to sole society for partnering for today’s post. while I am being compensated for this content, all items were selected and loved by me.
