If you have spent any time at all on Instagram over the past few days you know by now that NYFW is in full effect. For those of you who also had no idea what that stands for [guilty] it’s New York Fashion Week. The streets are full of fashionistas, champagne is being drank in plenty and people like me are sitting around thinking “I will never be that cool…” 

It’s very rare that I feel truly fashionable. I’m pretty sure to feel such a way you have to dress in five different patterns while wearing heels and most likely a bodysuit….with a coat that you don’t actually put your arms into. I will never understand that trend. What I’m getting at however is that while I may be pretty plain jane when it comes to the fashion scene, I do believe in owning a few pieces that make it look like I know what I am doing from time to time. For me currently, that is this Elliott Lucca Artisan bag. 

A real beauty isn’t she? She goes by the name of “Autumn Botanica print” which translates to “pretty fall purse with flowers all over it”! Not only does it look super chic but it has plenty of room for all of my crap essentials. The gold plated hardware isn’t so bad itself. 

Would you look at the pop of petals on that baby? I paired little Ellie [I think I just renamed my purse] with all my favorite basics – a burgandy top from Old Navy, black denim from Stitch Fix and nude heels from Windsor. If you ask me, I think it all came together nicely – perfect for any fall evening on the town. Take that NYFW.
