Phew – welcome back friends. It feels like it’s been a hot second since I’ve been around these parts. Remember last week when I said I had every intention of blogging while I was gone? You can see where those intentions went. Right down the drain with every other single responsible item I was supossed to take care of while gone. Regardless, I’m alive [and tired] but alive none the less. It’s been a crazy few days between soaking up all that Nashville and CMA Fest had to offer and now taking in the sights and sounds of the ocean in Myrtle Beach, SC.
Nashville lived up to every expectation and more and I can’t wait to share wth you all of the goodness that went down while there. Stay tuned for that full recap happening soon.
Like I had mentioned last week, I am now spending a week in Myrtle Beach with my mom, sister, and two nieces. With all of this recent traveling, I have been told by a few friends that “I travel all of the time”. And while I wish it was “all” of the time [okay well sorta, home is a pretty good place to be] I have been fortunate enough to get out and about in the past couple of years. However, I always think it is important to mention that Shawn and I are very savvy when it comes to traveling on a dime.
It inspired me to share with you a little bit about how we do it — credit cards. That’s right, we travel because of credit cards. And not because you can max em’ out and get all crazy and what have you, but because if you use them wisely they will pay for you to have your fun. A great credit card that I recently discovered is the Discover It Miles card.
Here’s what is so great about it:
– No annual fee [this is awesome on a rewards card]
– Fly any airline any time. Just buy a ticket and use Miles to credit your statement
– 1.5x miles for every dollar spent on purchases
– An annual credit up to $30 for in-flight Wi-Fi charges [absolutely love love love this!]
– and more!
Another great thing is that with the Discover it Miles card, cardmembers can redeem miles at any amount for cash, or as a statement credit toward their travel purchases, including commercial airline tickets, hotel rooms, car rentals, commuter transportation and taxicabs. SAY WHAT.
As an introductory offer, Discover it Miles cardmembers will now receive double the amount of miles they’ve earned at the end of their first year – with no spending cap. That gives travelers using the Discover it Miles Card the opportunity to determine for themselves the amount of bonus miles they receive in that first year. If you want in on the fun and action, be sure to check out the Discover It Miles card here.
Now get out there and go experience all that life has to offer. One credit card swipe at a time.
I’m off to do a whole lot of nothing….be back soon 🙂
