I was thinking the other day about how if I hadn’t believed that Jesus loved me, the invention of the slow cooker would be enough to convince me. It is hands down one of the best tools that has ever come into my life and one that I hope never goes out of style. I am always looking for delicious meals to make in the crock pot, so when I found this pot roast recipe over at
You’re Too Crafty I knew I had to try it. I have made this several times now and each and every time it tastes just as good as it did the first time.
If you are a roast beef lover, you will love this, I promise you. If you prefer to use less than 5 ingredients in your recipes, you will also love this, I promise you. Basically if you are a human still breathing, you will love this, I promise you.
Here’s what you’ll need:
Beef Boneless Shoulder Roast
One Packet Slow Cookers Savory Pot Roast
One Packet Au Jus Gravy
One Can or Pepsi (or Coke)
I threw in some minced onions because #YOLO.
And here’s how you’ll make it:
1. Place that giant piece of meat in your crock pot
2. Mix the slow cooker savory pot roast seasoning with 1 cup of water – pour over meat.
3. Pour in the can of Pepsi or Coke
4. Cook for either 4 hours on high or 8 hours on low (don’t open the lid during this time)
5. Right before serving pour the au jus gravy packet over the meat.
6. Shred and serve!
I love paring the roast with homemade mashed potatoes (Pioneer Woman’s being my favorite) and fresh green beans! Mmmmmm baby.
And there you have it – the easiest most delicious meal of your life.
Enjoy!
