Oh Nashville, where do I begin? This was my third or fourth trip to the town and for whatever reason, I never fully appreciated the great city that it is until this getaway. Maybe it’s just that I am maturing and am now fully aware of the wonderful, delicious, crazy, exciting offerings Nashville has to offer, or maybe it’s just because we were there to celebrate my friends happiest day of her life, but whatever it was I loved every single second of it.
Because any vacation isn’t fully taken until a blog post is written about it, I bring to you our Nashville trip in what seems to be three million and forty-nine photos and a few words about what went down.
To start things off in true tourist fashion we stopped by the famous Bluebird Cafe to do nothing but take a photo in front of it. I have never been one to shy away from making it known I live nowhere near the vicinity I am traveling to.

Friday morning my friend who was getting hitched, Aubree, hosted a brunch with several of us ladies at a fabulous place called The Southern. Holy biscuits I’m in love.

From there my parents, Shawn and myself ventured downtown to hit up the bar and live music scene. This turned into several drinks, several friends made, and several attempts to sing at the top of our lungs.

It was probably one of the better Friday afternoons I’ve ever had. That night the bride and groom had a rehearsal dinner of sorts [they opted to have no wedding party which is honestly the most genius thing I have ever heard of] but invited all of the out of town guests to. After a delicious Italian feast it was off to see my dearly beloved, Jake Owen, in concert.

aren’t they precious?

Prior to Jake hitting the stage Scotty McCreery made an appearance dressed up as Lord knows what [He does know, I do not].

And then it was time for this man. The man.

Saturday was wedding day and because we didn’t have much to do until when the wedding started in late afternoon, we did what we knew to do — hit up a local brewery.

no make-up, wet hair, it’s hot I know

And then just like that, it was go time.

Aubree was the most beautiful bride I have ever seen. The wedding was perfectly intimate, perfectly them, perfectly perfect. It was equal parts elegant and simple. Plus the food was oh my word.

To end all of the wonderful days and festivities that took place, we went out to celebrate the newlyweds nuptials. A captain and diet just tastes better when it follows your best friend getting married and living happily ever after. I’ll cheers to that.

So that completes our time in Nashville. Until next time…

ps. there are a couple larges left for this month’s Love, Yellow. Your time to purchase ends Friday so be sure to snag it up before it’s too late. xo.
