In staying on trend with this week’s blog post topics, I figured I would present to you another before and after post from the house. It’s the second room we have “completely finished” and albeit it’s the smallest room in the house, it’s a success none the less. I understand that a half bathroom renovation doesn’t contain quite the same excitement that a kitchen remodel does, but when that half bathroom took three quarters of your life to remove the wallpaper it is definitely worth documenting. This little bath is right off the kitchen area and while I am not sure how much it will be used once our other bathrooms get a complete gutting and face lift, it’s a nice little option for guests.
Lets talk details for a minute and hash out everything that happened in this little bathroom. For starters, the wallpaper came down by yours truly. The tile was taken out, the walls were painted, the trim was painted, crown molding was hung, Shawn installed the bead board, I painted it all white, a new toilet was put in, a vanity [for less than $100 from Home Depot] was installed, new towel and toilet fixtures went up [from Menards], some new decor was hung, and wham bam thank you ma’m it’s done. The wall color is Watery by Sherwin Williams, the mirror is from Wayfair, the light fixture is from Shades of Light, the rug and towels I just picked up at Target, and the wall decor was random stuff we had from the old house. I think that about covers it. Here are some additional photos of the place. Anybody is welcome to come use our facilities if you so desire 😉
