I am taking on the assumption that when you have nothing to write about, you write about your day. So here I am…about to walk through a typical [or in this case, today’s] day. I have done this both here and here so I figured why not add a third post to the mix so that when I do this for a 4th time I can have three links for you to click on. Generosity is such a strong suit of mine, I know. I am overly nosy so naturally I believe you are too.
My day started at 6 am where I proceeded to get out of bed and say 19 different times how I did not want to be awake nor did I want to go over to my sister’s house to workout. I have been doing anything but working out lately so I figured it was time to buck up my act and sweat a little. Turns out doing Jillian Michaels No More Trouble Zones will make you do more then sweat a little. I was drenched nor did I smell good.
Back home at 7, I hopped in the shower while yelling at my husband to not breathe while I walked past him. I have to maintain my always sexy always classy reputation around him at all times.
By 7:40 all hair, make-up, and clothes have been put on and I’m out the door with my island coconut coffee, granola bar, and string cheese. There is just something about coffee and string cheese that make me wanna say mmmmmmmm. It’s so good, I can’t stop. #thatswhatshesaid
8:00 am I’m at work and ready to teach new employees about providing excellent service. Because that’s just how we do. Somewhere in between this time and 10:00 I walk by the vending machine to scope out the chip situation because that is the most important thing on my mind at all times. After deciding that the only thing that sounded good was Doritos and I ate those yesterday I passed. It was a hard and brutal decision but sometimes that’s just how it goes.
After I kissed my chips good-bye I headed out to work at our annual kids club picnic. This means I got to man the duck pond station and teach children how to pull only one duck out of an inflatable pool at a time to see if it had a smiley face on the bottom. Regardless if it did or didn’t they received a prize because they are kids and that’s why nobody should ever grow up. My nieces attended so naturally I stopped all other contestants from being able to play so that I could snap photos of my little love bug pickle pies.
Around 12:30 and 3 slices of Pizza Hut pizza later I headed home to where I sit now. First things first I poured myself water into a wine glass because duh, it’s a wine glass. I then made my way to my normal sitting spot for an afternoon full of work.
Around 1:00 I had lost all focus so that’s when I figured it would be a good time to clean out the refrigerator, start laundry, and take a few photos.
3:00 pm has suddenly rolled around and here I am back on the computer typing this post like it’s my job. Fortunately it is my job so thumbs up for being on task. Always at this time I have to decide between a cup of coffee or diffusing essential oils to keep me awake. Today essential oils won [grapefruit is filling my office like a mother right now and it’s heavenly].
I also just got done chasing after a spider which is disgusting and horrifying. Oh, and Dirt from Florida Georgia Line is on repeat. Anyhow, after this little guy is done being wrote, I will start working on things that need done for my job with Pollinate Media which should last me another hour or two.
The plan is for me to make dinner somewhere between 5-6 because we like to play pretend we are 80 and we eat when they do. The goal is to make spaghetti pie [remind me to post that recipe sometime because it’s one of my favorites]. Wine will be consumed, carbs will be inhaled, and most likely a small nap will take place within 20 minutes after all the above.
8:00 pm is a photo session with my local photographer where she can take all sorts of pictures of me in different outfits and I can pretend that I’m Heidi Klum.
By about 8:30 I will be sayin’ peaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaace out and to the couch I will resort. Not without ice cream and popcorn though. Hopefully around 11:00 I will make it back to the bedroom but that’s TBD. Depends on how wild and crazy I decide to get later [I’ll be in bed by 9:30].
And that completes a semi-typical day in the hood.
