She is here today to share with you a sweet little treat-
one that will not disappoint.
Time to get naked friends 😉
{Read on..it will make sense eventually…}
Hi, I’m Andi—
I’m a stay at home mom to two, wife, and lover of Jesus. I so enjoy sharing our life through my blog where you can find a little bit of everything including:
Today, I’m excited to share with you a deadly and scandalous brownie recipe……………..
“Wait, aren’t you being a bit dramatic—brownies that are deadly and scandalous?”
(do you like how I just got in your head?)
Let me explain,……….. these are a combination mash-up of the glorious
Killer Brownies from Dorothy Lane Market in Dayton, Ohio and the
Knock You Naked Brownies from the Pioneer Woman.
We’re talking loads of sugar,
butter,
cake mix,
chocolate chips,
caramel,
coconut,
and did i mention–chocolate!?
Enough with the talking, let’s get started (and get eating!):
Ingredients:
german chocolate cake mix
chopped nuts (your choice of kind or leave them out altogether)
1/3 cup evaporated milk
1/2 cup melted butter (that’s one stick)
caramels (i used Rolos)
coconut (optional)
powdered sugar
chocolate chips
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Mix the cake mix, evaporated milk, and nuts with the melted butter.
Mix in the chocolate chips (the batter will be pretty thick and a bit difficult to stir–that’s ok!)
Divide the batter into 2 equal parts while still in the bowl.
Press one 1/2 of the batter into the bottom of a greased 8×8 pan (you can do it in a 9×13, but the brownies will be thinner). Bake that for 8 minutes.
Take the second half of the batter and place it on top of a sheet of plastic wrap. Fold extra plastic on top and press it into a square roughly the size of your pan. Set it aside for later.
Two options here: 1) use Rolos candies (like me) and just place them on top of the baked layer OR 2) melt 60 caramel pieces in the microwave + a little extra condensed milk and pour over top the baked layer. I went for the faster/easier choice, but if you really like caramel, the second option is for you!
Sprinkle coconut flakes on top of the caramel/Rolo layer.
Remember that squareish piece of chocolatey goodness we set aside for later? well, now’s the time to bring it back! Place it carefully on top of the caramel/coconut layer. Bake for 20-25 minutes–I prefer my brownies to be a little gooey, and there are no raw eggs, so I underbaked it a bit and it was yummy!
Cool completely before cutting. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and enjoy the sugar high of your life!
Try not to die or strip nude—don’t tell me I didn’t warn you!
Thanks to Erin, for having me today—you brighten my life :)~
I’d love to get to know you all better as well….
come on over and say “hello.”
