No, this is not some self proclaimed
“Get Happy Quick”
post.
There are no books I am trying to sell you at the end of this post,
no conferences I am hoping you will attend that I am leading
{puuh-lease, we know that won’t be happening anytime soon},
or some preachy preach post.
Okay, well maybe it kinda is.
But it’s worth reading so please, stick around.
If you have been reading for awhile, you probably know what I struggle with.
If you don’t, click here.
Well, today I read something that brought some clarity towards my outlook on anxiety,
and just on life in general.
Mind if I share?
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything,
by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding,
will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Finally brothers {or sisters}, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable
if anything is excellent or praiseworthythink about such things.
Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me-
put it into practice.
And the God of peace will be with you.”
Phillippians 4:4-9
So what am I getting at?
Who here wants to be a confident, noble, capable woman?
Please raise your hand.
In order to be all of the above, we have to be POSITIVE.
A woman of excellent character does not complain, does not dwell on circumstances, instead
she takes action-changes the situation-and chooses optimism.
By doing so, it not only impacts our mental state-it improves our physical heath-
emotional well being-and brings a positive light to those around us.
{Oh, and also can extend your life up to nearly 30 years}
It is easy to look for all the negativity in our world-it’s everywhere.
But why choose to?
Why not decide to look at all that is right in the world-
see the best in everybody-
and be happy?
Our minds are the most powerful tool we have.
Let’s put them to good use shall we?
Choose Positivity.
You will be glad you did, and so will those around you.
“Be transformed by the renewing of your mind”

“A joyful heart is good medicine but a crushed spirit dries up the bones”

So today I challenge you-
choose to focus on the positive.
Fill your mind with thoughts that are good.
And see what happens.
You may just want you to try it again tomorrow 😉
