30+ Amazon Items We Bought and Loved This Month

June 2, 2021

By:

Erin Schrader

Another day, another Amazon delivery driver stoppin’ by! With the weather heating up, we’ve been seeing lots of outdoor activities, warm-weather fashion, and home project must-haves getting delivered. Summer is here, and Amazon is making enjoying it a breeze, especially with Prime! Check out the 30+ items we bought and loved on Amazon this month, and be sure to let us know what you’re finding and loving too!

Erin’s Finds

Erin’s Tee

Tee [size down if in between, wearing in small in red] // Shorts [size down one] // Sneakers [true to size]

If there’s one thing I will never have shortage of it’s comfortable tees that I can throw on, feel confident and semi-stylish in, and go! This petal tee checks all of those boxes! It’s super soft, a great length [if you are on the taller side this is one to try!], comes in all sorts of great colors for summer, and has a unique touch with the sleeve detail! For under $20, it’s a tee I’ll keep going back for more of!

Erin’s Margaritaville Machine

Margaritaville Bali Frozen Concoction Machine

Cue the cocktails, I’m ready! When I saw this frozen concoction machine on sale, I knew it had to belong in our house! It is the perfect summer addition to our patio, especially when hosting! It easily makes margaritas, daiquiris, coladas, and smoothies! We’ve had so much fun blending up different recipes [you can find a ton on Pinterest], a few of our favorites listed below! Cleaning up is a breeze and the drinks taste great every time!

Classic Margarita

  • 8 fl oz Gold Tequila
  • 4 fl oz Triple Sec
  • 2 fl oz Lime Juice
  • 2 fl oz Orange Juice
  • 6 fl oz Margarita Mix

Strawberry Banana Smoothie

  • 1 ½ cups raspberries
  • 1 cup strawberries
  • ½ frozen banana
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 ½ cups ice
  • Mint or basil optional

Erin’s Solar Lanterns

LED Weatherproof Solar Lanterns [set of 2]

Speaking of time outdoors, there is no shortage of that happening around here this summer. In case you missed my recent patio reveal, you can see it all here! I first shared these solar lanterns there, but wanted to mention them once again because a) finding outdoor lanterns at a decent price is hard to come by these days and b) I’ve really enjoyed these! They are fully weatherproof and provide a great ambiance at night when they light up [no batteries or charging needed thanks to the solar power]!

Erin’s Sweater Tank Top

Sweater Tank [size down if in between, wearing in small in the colors brown and sky blue] // Similar Jeans [true to size] // Shorts [true to size]

When you like something so much, you go back and buy it in more colors. That’s what I did with this sweater tank. All it took was getting one compliment from my husband about how much he liked it 😉 It’s a soft sweater material making it a great option to wear on cooler summer evenings! Whether you rock it with jeans or shorts, you can’t go wrong!

Steph’s Finds

Steph’s Mulch Borders

Mulch Border / Landscaping Staples

I’ve had a garden for most of my married life, but yikes those weeds for most of the years. Are there plants in there? Sure! I planted them, I know they’re there. But they’re usually in hiding among the overgrown weed population. I’m on a mission to get the most out of my garden by taking some different steps in weed prevention. I’ve used landscaping fabric between the rows before, but I’ve never found staples that hold it in place well, until this year. These landscaping staples are REALLY heavy duty so they go through the fabric without bending and are longer than other staples I’ve purchased in past years so they feel more secure in the ground. This set actually feels like I’ll be able to box them up in the Fall and bring them back out in the Spring without any trouble.

This year I opted for a plastic mulch border between my green bean rows (held down by these staples) to provide a little more of a sturdy place to put my food as I through picking beans. It’s a little on the pricier side so I decided to just get 2 for now and purchase more in the future if I like it. What I can say about it so far – It was SOOOOOOO MUCH faster and easier to lay than landscaping fabric, and I’ll be able to use it year after year unlike the traditional fabric.

Steph’s Plant Rings

Plant Rings

Like I said, all about easy weed prevention this year! So why not apply that to my tomato plants as well? I purchased these plant rings as a way to prevent weeds from growing between the cages and tomato plants. We simply planted the tomatoes, put the ring around it and poked the cages right through the ring. I’m also using this as way to see if I can prevent blight on my tomato plants, which can occur when the dirt splashes up on the plants during watering or rain. Here’s to easy gardening friends!

Hannah’s Finds

Hannah’s Lip Treatment

Tinted Lip Treatment  [shown in Red Tint]

I have a confession to make — I have an overabundance of lip gloss [lol], we’re talking LOTS and I always seem to buy more! However, one thing I’ve noticed is that I tend to wear chapstick more in the Summer so my lips don’t burn and less color options! I found this lip gloss and it has all the things to keep my lips protected with a little bit of color! And it smells amazing, not sticky and comes in more tint options!

Hannah’s Under Eye Patches

Patchology Under Eye Patches

Apparently as you get older the dark circles and lines get bigger and better [lol] — okay maybe this is just for me and the fact that my kids still don’t sleep through the night! I’ve heard good things about Patchology products and was excited to try their Under Eye Patches! They have SO many options to choose from, but I stuck with the variety 😉 to see what would work! While I haven’t noticed a huge difference, probably needing to use them more than a couple times, I did love the way they felt and did see a little improvement! Highly recommend  them if you’re interested in looking less tired!

Hannah’s At-Home Snow Cones

Snow Cone Machine / Snow Cone Syrup [4 Pack]

Summer is HERE!!!!! Cue allll the ice cream, outdoor activities, pool days, park, splash pad and fun! We spend a lot of time together as a family enjoying the outside as much as possible! Last year our kids had snow cones and have been begging for them ever since! I decided to order this Snow Cone Machine and this pack of syrups and do it ourselves!! It’s been SO fun! The kids love shaving the ice themselves and it surprisingly works well considering you have to do the work! AND the snow cone syrup was really good! Such a fun Summer treat that we can all enjoy!

Hannah’s Lacrosse Set

COOP Hydro Lacrosse

What are your favorite outdoor games to play with kids?! We’ve been slowly acquiring more and more and couldn’t wait to add this fun Lacrosse set to the group! My husband and I have been using this as well as our kids and it’s been fun and challenging!! Our kids’ hand-eye coordination has also improved!!

Hannah’s Car Vacuum

Car Vacuum

Anyone else’s car constantly dirty?! I feel like once Spring and Summer hit my car is always dirty from kids shoes, practices, games and all the activities! This car vacuum has been so handy to have since it plugs into the car and has an extra long cord!! It also has several different attachments, making it easier to get to those hard to reach places food falls into [haha]! The only downside is that while it does have good suction it wasn’t super powerful but it is a car vacuum! This would just be handy to have to use for quick car clean outs!!

Claire’s Finds

Claire’s Halter Dress

Halter Dress [TTS, wearing in Medium] // Heels [TTS]

Meet the under $30 dress that is taking the LIY team by storm! Perfect for any summer event or date night and available in 13 [yes 1-3!] fun color combos.

Cassidy’s Finds

Cassidy’s Rug Pad

Rug Pad [7×10]

I recently switched up the rug in our living room and while I love the pattern and color of it, it was pretty thin. I wanted to add a little padding underneath it and found this rug pad on Amazon! Worked like a charm and now my pups love taking naps on the rug! Such a simple fix that makes all the difference! If your rug is a funky shape or size, it is also super easy to cut them to the size you need!

Cassidy’s At-Home Gel Nails

Nail Art Tools / Acetone / UV Nail Light / Gel Polish

Okay gals, I am taking on my own nail art! I went to the aisles of Amazon and found these nail art tools and UV nail light. I completed my at home kit with this gel polish set and a bottle of acetone. I absolutely love the UV nail light–it works great and acts fast! I also like that it has a sleek design and isn’t too bulky. The nail art tools make at home mani’s so easy and approachable and I utilize both ends of the tool to make simple designs [flowers, lines, dots, etc. are a good place to start!]. As for the gel polish set, I loved the colors and that it comes with the top and base coat, although, the polish itself was somewhat thick and I found that if I applied it too heavily it would be subject to peeling off in a day or two! So I ordered this brand of gel polish due to the stellar reviews on Amazon and I can’t wait to try it out! Overall, I have been super happy with this little set that I have created and have even started doing my friends’ nails!

Lauren’s Finds

Lauren’s Pickleball Paddles

Pickleball Paddles

Have you played pickleball? Once I tried it I instantly wanted to play again and again. As a high school tennis player who hadn’t played in years, it’s been such a fun way to get out on the court again in a different [but somewhat similar] fashion! I snagged this two-pack of paddles with covers on Amazon so I could quit borrowing paddles from friends, and so far they’ve been great! They’re nothing fancy, but do the trick for getting out and playing! Next step: all the cute tennis skirts and dresses 😉

Lauren’s Flowy Maxi Dress

Maxi Dress [true to size, wearing in medium]

Summertime for me means alllll the maxi dresses. I’m stepping way out of my comfort zone by going with a bright print [verses a basic black], but thought these prints were fun for summer! The one on the right reminds me of something from JCrew a few years back! There are a TON of other prints available as well! They are a bit sheer, so I may wear a slip underneath to be safe!

Lauren’s Tank Top

Tank Top [true to size, wearing in large but could have done medium] // White Jeans [true to size] // Sandals [size up .5]

I’m always on the hunt for lightweight tanks to wear with white jeans in the summer, and this one fit the bill! A silky material, super lightweight, and priced right! Plus, the back is long enough to cover my booty which I like with white jeans! I sized up to a large in this, but I think a medium would have been fine, but maybe wouldn’t have covered the back side as much!

Lauren’s Thermacell Mosquito Repelent Lanterns

Thermacell Mosquito Repellent Lanterns

Last year, Cassidy on the LIY Team introduced us to the Thermacell Mosquito Repellers, and let me tell ya – those things work! We keep ours in our RV for camping! This year, I saw that they have these cute ones that look like lanterns, and I thought they’d be perfect to keep on our front and back porches for evenings out there! I love that they blend in with the decor while still doing the job at keeping the pesky mosquitos away!

Lauren’s Sandals

Cushionaire Sandals  [size up .5, color is Taupe]

I’ve been wearing these Birkenstock lookalike sandals for about two weeks and OH BABY they are good! SUPER comfortable and the price is right [under $25!]. I did size up .5 size and am glad I did! I wore them for a few days just around the house to sort of break them in! They have plenty of support, and so far I’m loving them! If I haven’t convinced you, let the 23,000+ reviews 😉

Lauren’s Anti-Chafing Balm

Body Glide Anti-Chafing Balm

Ladies, meet your inner thighs’ new BFF 😏 After using this anti-chafing balm for a few weeks, I’m sold! Lauren here, and I’ll be applying this under $10 product on the regular all summer long! Here’s to no more chafing!

Katy’s Finds

Katy’s Air Fryer

Air Fryer

I knew that Air Fryers were a big thing, but I never understood why…until now. Seriously, you can throw almost anything in this baby & cook it up so easily! It’s 4 in 1, so you can Air Fry, Roast, Bake, and Reheat! I have been cooking meat in it so far and it’s turned out great! I was worried about it drying out the meat, but I have had zero issues. Next up: sweet potato fries!

Katy’s Collapsible Dog Bowls

Collapsible Dog Bowls

We love to travel and now having our pup, Frisco, we have already started taking him on trips with us! Whether you’re going on a road trip to Montana (that’s our plan for the end of June!) or just at a family gathering for the day, these collapsible bowls make it super easy to feed your furry friends on the go! Available in large or small sizes.

Katy’s Midi Skirt

Midi Skirt [size down if in between, wearing XS] // Sandals [true to size, wearing 8] // Tee [size up one, wearing XS but could’ve done Small] // Necklace

I love when a piece helps me feel put together but is also COMFORTABLE. This skirt does it all! Feels like a tee, but elevates a look! Also, these sandals are bringing the 90’s back and I’m not mad about it! Bonus: they are the “save” version of these Sam Edelman’s.

Katy’s Midi Dress

Midi Dress [true to size, wearing xs] // Sandals [size up .5]

Anyone else struggle finding day dresses? Look no further! This little number is perfect for Spring & Summer. Not sure if I meant to write a poem there?

LIY Ambassador Finds

Allison’s Pool Noodles

Pool Noodles

When we put our pool in 6 years ago, I decided to have them dig a hole too for an inground trampoline. Once it was in, I found the spring pad that came with it to be too boring, so I brainstormed ideas, and came up with cutting pool noodles to cover each spring. It has now turned into a yearly project, and every year I change the pattern. This year I went with an orange and teal theme.  My sister, Angela, thinks I’m a little crazy for doing this every Summer. In fact, this year she sat, beer in hand, and watched as I cut, measured, and assembled 🤣 When I was finished, she did say how great it looked, so I guess I’ll let the ridiculing go 😉

Allison’s Swimsuit & Coverup

Swim Cover Up // Bikini Top [true to size, wearing in 34 DDD]

Allison here! Since I turned 45, I’ve struggled with “to wear a bikini, or not to wear a bikini”. When I came across this bra sized bikini top, I decided I was going to just go for it! The support is top notch, and I feel confident wearing it! I paired it with a fun, floral caftan (my print is not available, but there are a ton of other options). I’m excited to wear it many times this Summer!

Ashley’s Watering Can

Watering Can

Since buying our first home about a year ago I have created a large family of houseplants. To be fair, I was amazed I managed to keep the first one alive since I have killed every.single.one I have ever had in the past! I have been watering them with a giant cup for months 😑 and decided to order this cute little watering can from Amazon. This one matches my decor and makes it easier for me to direct the flow to where it needs to be! Me & the plants are happy!

Lisa’s Jewelry Case

Jewelry Case

Lisa here, and how many of you are like me when getting ready for a trip? You start packing in your mind for each outfit you’ll bring along with shoes and accessories prior to breaking out the suitcase to pack!  I came across this amazing Amazon travel jewelry case that holds so many options that allowed me to travel with everything I wanted to bring, without anything getting tangled up or broken. This case is so versatile and very well made. Where are you heading next?

Lisa’s Maxi Dress

Maxi Dress [true to size]

Happy “almost” Summer! Hi LIY – it’s Lisa 💛 To be honest I have mixed feelings about the pattern of this dres; but love all the colors!  The  fabric is so light and airy I wanted to share it with you as there are over THIRTY different patterns and colors that you can choose from and could quite possibly become a summer staple for you.  This is the perfect maxi dress for a hot, sweaty, summer day. The straps are adjustable and the fabric is pretty thin, so it could also be a great cover-up for a beach or boat day. For reference I am 5’3” and it is the perfect length!

Sthefany’s Nightlight

Light Bar

As I transitioned to my first apartment, I realized how much I hated turning off the kitchen light then walking blindly to my bedroom. It was a never-ending hallway 😂 I certainly did not hesitate to look for night lights. This pair of bar lights was the solution to my problem! They illuminate the entire hallway with their beautiful light, and do not overtake too much space. They do stay on all night; however, I prefer it that way. It makes it easier when waking up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. I don’t have to worry about tripping while looking for a light switch or being woken up even more from the bright lights. I just hate the darkness #sorrynotsorry!

Sthefany’s Carafe

Carafe

As mentioned in my previous post, I do not like darkness or waking up in the middle of the night to make unnecessary trips. I have nights where I randomly wake up ready to drink a 24 pack of water and guess what, never have it on hand! So, I decided to purchase this beautiful carafe to keep on my nightstand. It is not only convenient, but it eliminates plastic waste making it eco-friendly while being aesthetically pleasing.

Heather’s Sunglasses

Sunglasses // Jeans [TTS, wearing 27 Tall] // Tee [TTS, wearing Small in Pink Blossom] // Sneakers [TTS, wearing 10] // Best No Show Socks [$1.50/pair!]

These Amazon sunglasses are my fav! Lots of styles/colors and only $17.

Skye’s Tend Skin Solution

Tend Skin Solution

Skye here and a week or so ago I got my first Brazilian wax. Is that too much information? Maybe.. but I’m willing to go there to tell y’all about this stuff!! I have been applying this to the waxed area daily since I had it done and not a single red bump or ingrown hair has made an appearance, so I’m calling it a HUGE win! I’ve also been using it underneath my arms since the heat in the summer can cause some issues for me too and so far, so good! Take it from me, and the 15K other reviewers, you need this in your arsenal!!

Skye’s Compression Socks

Compression Socks

I just wanted to let you all know that I have reached PEAK ADULTING! It is Friday night and I’m sitting on my couch with my compression socks on, a glass of wine, and a movie, and I am living my BEST life!

My boss at work bought us compression socks because after being on our feet all day, they are kind of a must. This is my first pair and I honestly feel like I’ve been let in to a secret club of some kind! They are like weighted blankets for my feet and I am obsessed with them.
