If you have been around this blog for any length of time well for starters, I am sorry. You probably know waaaaaay too much about my menstrual cycle by now and have heard the words “macaroni and cheese” more than you ever wish to hear in your life. But, if you have also been around here for some length of time you may also remember years ago when I hosted blogger happy hour which was such a fun and beneficial hour every week. There is something about connecting with other bloggers, asking questions to people who have been there/done that and learning new tid-bits of wisdom that can help your blog or business propel to the next step. Did I mention you are able to do all of the above while drinking a glass of wine? Oh yeah baby.
Because I believe in the value of information and investing in what you are doing, I have partnered with somebody who I look up to in this space so much, Skye, and are bringing you what we are deeming “Blogger Power Hour”. If you aren’t familiar with Skye, here’s what you need to know – she is a virtual ninja who helps brands and businesses find balance while pursuing their passions [think CupcakeMAG, jessicaNdesigns, Your Texas is Showing, Pollinate Media, etc] She is the queen of planning and preparation, Periscope and packing luggage but that’s another story for another day. For the first edition of Blogger Happy Hour, we are discussing all things social media strategy and engagement. I have learned over the past few years time and time again that so much of what happens inside your blog walls is driven by what happens outside of them. So what are you doing out on Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, Periscope, Snapchat, etc actually does matter and plays an important role in the success you can have elsewhere. We will be touching on how we utilize these different outlets to drive up our bottom line [that means income], how to hire it out, connect with others and tips/tricks to grow the amount of people that connect with you. I promise you this will be jam packed with beneficial information that will help you whether you are a business or a blogger.
