Three years ago a group of strangers came together to form a book club – we were all introduced to one another through one common person. Many of us living in the same neighborhood at that time, however I had never met any of them. There were some of us in our 20’s, others in our 30’s, a few in their 40’s and somehow it all just worked. A few have left the group, a few have joined – but since day one we knew this group was going to be together for a long time. Three years later here we are – the amount of life that has happened between our group over the past several years is enough to fill a book…and the amount of laughter should be illegal.
our first official “book club gathering”

While I haven’t been the most active participant on the reading home front [I have successfully read 2 books out of 30, oops] I have been an active supplier and drinker of wine. Every club needs one of those right? Recently I have been on a huge peach kick. Fresh peaches, peach flambe, peach flatbread, frozen peaches, peach everything. When I found this Sparkling Peach Moscato from Caposaldo I knew it was a must for our latest book club. I paired it with peach and prosciutto flatbread and two different pound cake desserts – one with whipped cream and fruit while the other had scoops of peanut butter ice cream with peanut butter syrup on top. Unfortunately my husband ate all of the above before the food made it with me to book club. Oops.
Because not everybody may be a peach fanatic like myself I also took a bottle of Caposaldo Prosecco because who doesn’t love a good Prosecco? Full of citrus, green apple and acacia blossoms it’s absolutely delicious. By the end of book club the wine was polished off and in the last 5 minutes of our 3 hour get together we actually talked about last month’s book! Priorities. Caposaldo Wines blends a handcrafted, artisanal approach to winemaking with cutting-edge quality standards and techniques, so that it stands as a benchmark of iconic Italian wines, which translates to food-friendly and appealing flavors.

I am happy to report that I am already halfway through this month’s book – The Girl on the Train and have every intention of finishing more bottles of wine the book. You better believe I will be serving more Caposaldo wine at our next book club as it’s an awesome go-to wine for all girls nights. They have a large variety of sparkling and still wines, sure to please every palette. You can find it nationwide – be sure to check out their Facebook page for more information and how you can get your hands on some asap for your next evening in.

ps. We have a new member of our book club – unfortunately she won’t be all to enjoy “all” aspects of book club for a few [21] years however she’s cute so we’ll let her come back.

pps. we all totally got lei’d at our last gathering. Gotta get it however you can ya know?
