Buttery Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 7 Medium Red Potatoes
  • 1/2 Cup Milk [room temperature or microwave for 20 seconds]
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 stick Unsalted Butter
  • 3 Tbsp Unsalted Butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°

  2. Wash and cube potatoes.

  3. Place in pot and cover with cold water, just enough to cover potatoes.

  4. Boil on medium to high heat for about 10 mins or until a fork can easily be poked through!

  5. Strain water and let potatoes sit for 1 minute to cool.

  6. Add 1/4 tsp. Garlic Powder, 1/4 cup of Milk and 5 Tbsp of Unsalted Butter.

  7. Mix on low speed for about 2 minutes.

  8. Add remaining Garlic Powder, Milk and Butter and mix until desired consistency.

  9. Add Salt & Pepper to taste.

  10. Place in baking dish.

  11. Add 3 Tbsp of butter on top.

  12. Bake for a couple of minutes, or until butter is melted and potatoes or slightly starting to brown.
