Smoked Jalapeno Poppers

Ingredients

  • 1 jar Sliced Jalapeños
  • 1 package 8 oz. Cream Cheese, Room Temp
  • 1.5 tsp. Traeger Pork & Poultry Rub
  • 2 Tbsp. Sour Cream
  • 20 slices Bacon, sliced in half
  • 1 lb. Optional: Tenderloin, cut into bite-size slices

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine the cream cheese, Traeger Pork & Poultry Rub, and the sour cream and mix well. Transfer the mixture to a sturdy, resealable plastic bag and trim 1/2-inch off one of the lower corners with scissors.

  2. Start with a jalapeño slice, add a dollop of the cheese mixture, and if you're including meat, a bite-sized slice. Wrap the stack with a slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick.

  3. When ready to cook, set the Traeger temperature to 350˚F and preheat with the lid closed for 15 minutes.

  4. Place the poppers directly on the grill, close the lid and smoke the peppers for 15-20 or until the meat is cooked.

  5. Remove the poppers from the grill and serve warm. Enjoy!
