Just looking at these pictures mildly makes me want to cry. Why do vacations ever have to end? Why can’t we wake up to views of the ocean, eat the freshest of fruit for breakfast and then spend all day laying on a lounge chair smack dab in front of the ocean with a book in our hands every day of our lives? I suppose if that was our constant reality, vacation would feel a lot less special [at least that’s what I’m telling myself to cope with my current reality back in Indiana ;)]
Last month we visited the beautiful [warm, sunshine filled] country of St Kitts and it was one of my most relaxing vacations of life thus far. I wasn’t kidding about the whole laying in a lounge chair in front of the ocean all day, every day. We had one goal and that goal was to do as little as possible..I am proud to report back we accomplished just that. While I’m still planning on putting together a blog post detailing our time there [where we stayed, what we ate, all the important stuff] today I’m sharing a few of the beach looks in case you’re prepping to leave for spring break or are getting a jump start on your summer pool wardrobe.
All of the beachwear you’ll see below is from Backcountry. Yes, the same Backcountry that I stock up on my winter wardrobe from [think all of the pullovers from Patagonia, jackets from The North Face, snow shoes from Sorel and so on] but did you know they also have a wide variety of high quality brands that will suit you for summer as well?! The more you know people, the more you know. If you’ve never purchased anything from Backcountry let me tell you why you should: a) free 2-day shipping over $50 b) the most incredible customer service you’ll ever experience c) the quality of every single item I’ve ever bought from them [and believe me, there is a lot] has been 100% and d) right now if you use code YELLOW15 you’ll receive 15% off your first order at Backcountry.com (exclusions apply)!
Now, let’s jump into these coverups, swimsuits, sandals and more that outfitted my trip…
I am obsessed with this tunic coverup. I wore it multiple times on our trip and have packed it for vacations since. It is very breathable and I love that I can feel confident in it whether I’m on the pool or at a beachside restaurant for lunch.
If you are looking for the most comfortable sandals to rock this summer, look no further. While they are more of an investment for a sandal, I trust that they will stay in great shape for years and the cushion they provide for your feet is well worth every dollar in my opinion.
We must talk about this swimsuit. The minute I put it on the first time I said out loud “whoa, this is a comfortable swimsuit”. There was no tugging, readjusting, needing to have to loosen any straps as the day went on, it is p-e-r-f-e-c-t. It feels like you are wearing your most comfortable sports bra and bottoms but add in the fun strap detail on the back and it adds an element of fun at the same time. I’d buy every suit in this brand after experiencing this one!
You’d be crazy to think I only packed one swimsuit coverup for this trip — this one also made its way with me and I love the casual tank dress vibes it gives off. The ruched tie detail on the side makes it a little “extra” and is super easy to throw on and go.
Last but not least, another adorable suit worth mentioning. I had my doubts that this was going to fit when I pulled it out of the package but to my surprise, it did and I absolutely loved it. This Peri Blue color is so pretty for summer and looks so good on so many skin tones.
Your beach trip [or summer break] just got so much easier to dress for. Don’t forget to use the code YELLOW15 for 15% off your first purchase at Backcountry! Pack your bags, it’s time to go…
