Four Colorful Outfits for The Office

January 31, 2020

Disclosure: Thank you to Nordstrom and ShopStyle for sponsoring today’s post. All products were selected, purchased and loved by yours truly.

While it may still be snowing outside my window, my mind is starting to transition to a Spring mindset and dreaming of all things bright and cheery. And that includes my wardrobe! I’m dreaming of pinks, greens, and blues – all the blacks and grey of Winter have had their time to shine, and it’s time for them to take a backseat!

I may not work in a traditional office setting anymore, but you’d be surprised by how many days we still show up in outfits that would 100% be acceptable for a business or business casual setting! So today I’ve pulled together four colorful outfits to freshen up your workwear wardrobe, just in time to start thinking Spring! Who said work wear couldn’t be fun?

And where do I turn to when I’m looking to freshen up my wardrobe? None other than Nordstrom. Nordstrom is my go-to for work wear, casual wear, formal wear, active wear and everything in between! They truly have something for everyone for every occasion, which is one of the many reasons I turn to them so often. Their FREE shipping and returns doesn’t hurt either! So get your laptops out and your cute tote bag ready, because we’re about to give your work wear a refresh, with a whole lot of color!

Not-So-Basic Black

Gibson Notch Collar Cotton Blend Blazer [TTS, wearing in XS] // Halogen® Scoop Neck Woven Shell – [TTS, wearing in small] // Liverpool Kelsey Knit Trousers [size down if in between, wearing in 2Petite] // Sam Edelman Hazel Pointy Toe Pump

Chances are, you’ve got a pair of black pants and heels in your closet [and if you don’t, the ones I’m wearing here are my favorites!]. They make for great staple pieces that never go out of style! Have some fun, and trade in your traditional black blazer for something with a bit more pop, like this blue blazer in one of my all-time favorite cuts [seriously, I can’t get enough of this one. You may see it again below]. I layered it over a great lightweight tank that comes in several prints and colors [including my favorite neutral – leopard!].

Green With Envy

Halogen® Bias Cut A-Line Midi Skirt  [TTS, wearing XS] // Caslon® Three Quarter Sleeve Tee [TTS, wearing in small] // 27 Edit Alanna Pump // Mali + Lili Reversible Vegan Leather Tote

Skirts for the office don’t have to be pencil skirts, especially when there are green cuties out there like this! A little bit of flutter in the skirt, a simple white top, and a fun pair of heels [with coordinating tote, I might add!], and you’ll be ready to go from the office to date night all Spring long!

Pink and White and Everything Bright

Boden Helena Chino Sheath Dress [size up if in between, wearing size 4] [similar dress]// Gibson Notch Collar Cotton Blend Blazer [TTS, wearing in XS] // Jeffrey Campbell Purdy Statement Heel Sandal

I’ve said for so long that I absolutely love the Boden brand for fun, bright workwear, and this dress is helping me hold true to that statement! I love the pink and red combo, as well as the feminine fit of the dress. I topped it off with my go-to blazer that I mentioned above, in a fresh white color, and added on these CUTE red sandals! If you haven’t checked out the rest of the Boden line, trust me, your work wardrobe will thank you.

Valentine’s Day, Every Day

Rachel Parcell Wide Leg Suit Pants  [size up – they run small!, wearing size 4 in Pink Compact] //Halogen® Slit Sleeve Sweater  //  Jeffrey Campbell Purdy Statement Heel Sandal // Kate Spade New York Large Molly Leather Tote

Last, but not least, is another pants look. But this time I’m swapping out the black pants for pink pants [isn’t everything better when swapped to pink?]. These pants are my first Rachel Parcell purchase, and so far, I am loving the fit and quality! I will say that I think the pants run s-m-a-l-l, so size up, but they’re such a fun shade of pink, especially when paired with this simple white sweater and red Kate Spade tote! Every laptop deserves a Kate Spade tote 😉

I hope these outfits helped inspire you to branch out from your usual work wardrobe, and add in some color to take you from Winter to Spring!
