If there is one profession I could never do, it’s teaching. Okay, let’s take a step back, there’s a lot of professions I could never do. A dietician [is mac n’ cheese and take out a balanced meal?]. A doctor [have you guys SEEN BLOOD?! No thank you]. Anyways, teachers have such an amazing gift and are people I admire SO much. To all you teachers out there- I look up to each and every one of you!
With August quickly approaching, that means school is going to be back in session in no time, and I want to make sure that you’re going back to school in style. It’s no secret that I love shopping at Macy’s, and they have such a great selection of teacher work-wear pieces right now. BONUS: The Macy’s Markdown Sales Event is going on July 26- July 29, including an additional 20% off sale items with code “BIG”. It’s the perfect time to stock up on all the pieces you need to look good going into this year!
Looks For Teachers
Let’s get right to it, because the new school year will be here before we know it! I’m loving this dress for the warm fall days. You know the ones I’m talking about. Where you’re sweating just walking from your house to your car, before even leaving for work. This dress [similar style] is so light and airy, without being too short or low cut, while the shoes are like walking on clouds. AKA, the perfect combo. With these babies, you don’t need to worry about how long you’ll be on your feet!
Next, we’re trying an outfit that’s all about comfort and convenience. This tunic and leggings outfit is perfect for the teacher who needs a look with a bit more flexibility to it. Or for the teacher who wants to be comfortable. Or really for anyone, because leggings are the best things since mac n’ cheese, am I right? Throw on a simple pair of black flats, grab your tote [large enough to fit all those papers to grade!], and you’re ready for work or weekend.
I am 100% on board with the paperbag pant trend. It’s such a fun way to try something different with your pants, rather than the traditional boot, straight, or skinny leg look. Tuck this cute little polka dot top in, and you’re going to be the style queen of the school. Oh, and remember when I mentioned those shoes that were like walking on clouds up above? Yea, that’s right. I bought tan AND black clouds. That’s how good they are.
If you’re more of a traditional black-pants type of girl, this is the look for you! Fitted black pants and a pointed toe heel with a simple lightweight top gives you a classic, but cute look. I LOVE the fun hem on this top and the bow sleeves make me feel so girly! You could easily pair this top and these heels with a pair of jeans for a girls night or date night!
For our final outfit, we’re celebrating our favorite day- CASUAL FRIDAY! I’m loving the pops of pink in this outfit to keep things fun bright, and these jeans are some of my favorites. Levi’s have made such a comeback lately, and I’m all about it! A simple pair of flat booties will keep your feet looking and feeling good, right into the weekend.
Last, but certainly not least. Making sure your lunch arrives in style gives bonus points in the cafeteria. Be sure to check out some of these CUTE lunch bag options to keep your food fresh AND fun. We’ve got strawberries, a polka dot lunch tote, a smaller lunch box, and some lunch bags that allow you to leave the ice pack at home!
