Unless you’ve been living under a rock [which full disclosure – doesn’t sound very comfortable and I probably wouldn’t try it] you are probably well aware that we are officially in the best season of all, football season. I say this because I like chips and dip [a lot] and it just so happens that football breeds generous amounts of chips and dip. It also breeds the opportunity to do fun things like tailgating and if you’re really cool, go to the games themselves. Whether you are a mom of the cutest eight-year-old on the block who is playing in the local soccer league or your husband is the quarterback for the New England Patriots [omg, Gisele, hi!] you’re going to want to look put together, yet not be that girl trying too hard standing on the sidelines in a mini skirt and 4-inch pumps. In preparation for these football activities, I took off to Finish Line recently to stock up on the most comfortable of shoes that I knew I could actually make look cool with outfits already in my closet. What did I land on you ask? Reeboks my friends, Reeboks. Do you remember this classic style which has been around since 1983 [that’s a fact, not an exaggeration like most every other thing I say]? The nostalgia and charm of them had me intrigued and the challenge to see how easily they would fit into my fall wardrobe mix was the easiest challenge I’ve ever tackled. Not only are they incredibly comfortable [but really] they are cooler than ever thanks to the vast array of color options, making it easier than ever to show that team spirit all the way down to your feet. Here are two game ready looks that will leave you cheering all day long…

First up is a little less predictable look for those days at the football field. Whoever said pants are mandatory? I’m team no pants often, especially when you can wear a dress that feels like pajamas. But I know, now you are thinking ‘BUT ERIN, HOW CAN YOU WEAR REEBOK TENNIS SHOES WITH A DRESS?!?!?” and to that, I say “don’t be silly, it’s the easiest thing you’ll ever have to do.” Proof below.

It should come as no surprise that I turned to a comfy pair of jeans and a cardigan for option one. Do we really need anything more in life? The answer is no. I like dressing in layers for game days because let’s face it, it can get hot when you’re squished between 30,000 other fans. I love the idea of adding a pop of color in your shoes to keep things exciting because shoot, the players shouldn’t get all of the attention, your feet deserve some too 😉
